ABB updated their robust ACH550 Series Variable Speed Drives a couple of years ago to the ACH580…did you update your specifications? Don’t worry if not…we have you covered! There are several nicely upgraded features in the updated drive to better handle user interface, controllability, security, special application configurations as well as harmonics. Additionally, ABB has a schedule generator tool that will automatically generate a VFD schedule for you based on your inputs. This ensures that you and your client get not only what they want but what they need when it comes to their VFD’s. Lastly, ABB also has a harmonic analysis tool that will analyze certain information to give you insights on what level of mitigation will be adequate for your specific application to meet IEEE519 in the system.
